What is Input Device ?
The devices which provides the information in the computer.
Functions of input devices
The function of input devices is to accept data and instructions from the user.
The accepted data and instructions are, then, supplied to the CPU .

Keybord
Keyboard is an input device. It is a type writter like device which is used to type in the letters, digits and commands.
Mouse
Mouse is an input device. It is a painting device used to point to a position on computer screen. It controls movement of pointer on screen screen
Microphone (MIC)
Microphone is an input device which converts sound into electrical signal which is converted into digital form to be stored in computer. It is used to record audio.
Scanner
Scanner is an import device which scans the document and produces it's soft copy in digital form or electronic form.
Note : Scanner is device similar like photo copier or xerox machine. The only difference is that photo copiee scans a document and gives its duplicate hardcopy ( paper- printed ) but the scanner scans the document and produces its softcopy in digital form or electronic form.
Barcode reader
Barcode reader is an input device which is used to read barcodes found on products in a shop it uses laser light to read the barcode and input product price and other details in a computer.
